LQAF 2017 Reminder

As 2016 was drawing to a close we announced the interim arrangements for LQAF in 2017.

This is anticipated to be the final year of the LQAF in its current form as we move to update the quality assurance and improvement mechanism and align with HEE quality developments and the Knowledge for Healthcare framework.

With this in mind the Library and Knowledge Service Leads approved a proposal to concentrate on five core criteria for 2017, all of which have a strong link to the Knowledge for Healthcare framework.

Criteria
1.1c
The LKS works with other organisations and agencies across the local health community to modernise and develop services to meet customer needs, expectations, and choice.
1.3c
The positive impact of LKS can be demonstrated.
5.3h
LKS support clinical and management decision making.
5.3l
LKS are developed to support information provision for patients and/or the public

To note this cannot be declared “Not applicable” in 2017
5.4a
Members of the LKS team are actively involved in the creation, capture, sharing, utilisation, or reuse of knowledge in the organisations served.

To note this cannot be declared “Not applicable” in 2017

We are asking for self assessment of a compliance level along with evidence for these five criteria.

For all others we only need to see evidence if you are claiming an increase on the compliance levels recorded for your service in 2016.

The existing library services LQAF webpage has been updated with these details along with the SAT and guidance documents

We will keep you up-to-date as work progresses to develop a new library quality mechanism for the future.
